My family works in the therapeutic profession and since my childhood I have lived in this world. One day, one of my mentors said to me,” Emmanuelle, your second language isn’t Italian, it is therapy.”
I deeply love my profession. Today I have several techniques in my therapeutic tool kit that I adapt and use depending on who I’m working with. Of course, my own learning continues and I love discovering new ways to do things and perceive people.
One thing is for certain as far as therapy is concerned, the more experienced I become the more I realize there is to learn. If I am not prepared to grow how can I expect the people I work with to grow? This way hand in hand we follow the road less travelled.
